As you can see from the above photos, there is still quite a bit of construction going on at the Downtown Perris Metrolink Station. These were the first photos taken as the train started to depart from the station.

I believe these are some stored New Jersey Commet Commuter Cars. They were either on loan or purchased by Metrolink or Amtrak to compensate for a shortage of equipment when passenger demands were greater than could be handled by the existing fleet of equipment.
This is as far as our short demonstration ride took us. This was about 6 miles north of the Downtown Perris Metrolink Station. It took about 20 minutes to get here as this was just a demonstration run. I'm sure when the actual commuter service is in operation that it will only take 6 to 10 minutes for the train to get from the Downtown Perris Metrolink Station to here.
