Thursday, May 2, 1996 -- Sacramento, California
- Visit/tour Sacramento
- Visit the California State Railway Museum in Old Sacramento
- Board the Amtrak Coast Starlight (Economy Sleeper) #14 at 11:37P.
Friday, May 3, 1996 -- Sacramento to Vancouver, Canada
- Travel through Oregon and Washington aboard the Amtrak CoastStarlight #14.
- Arrive in Seattle, Washington at 7:55P
- Transfer to Amtrak Thruway Bus and arrive at Pacific Central Station in Vancouver, Canada at 11:30P
- Begin Rocky Mountaineer Railtour -- Tour #4 Canadian Rockies and Vancouver (5 nights/6 days)
- Transfer from Pacific Central Station to hotel in Vancouver.

- Free morning in Vancouver with a city tour in the afternoon
