The VIP Sleeping Cars are the Superliner II Cars "Arkansas" and "Texas"
temporarily borrowed from the Amtrak Coast Starlight for this
event. The last four coaches will be turned at San Antonio and added
to the return Texas Eagle #22 to accommodate the return VIP crowd. The
VIP Sightseer Lounge Car is only open to invited passengers. Since
there are several people in the revenue Sleeping Cars and Coach who are
riding this train just because it is the inaugural Texas
Eagle/California Service train, it has been assumed that those people
can consider themselves "invited guests" as far as access to the VIP
Lounge is concerned. There has not been any problems with having those
people enter and participate in the VIP Lounge events.
