When I think of "Nevada", I think of "Las Vegas". Massive snow removal equipment is not the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Nevada. Yet, Sparks, Nevada is probably the most logical place to house this massive snow removal equipment, centrally located between the snow covered Rocky Mountains and Sierra Nevada.
The photos in this slide show were taken in the mid-1990's by Steve Grande on his Amtrak travels throughout the nation. The size of the photos is purposely smaller as disk space was expensive and download speeds were slower at that time.
