(Baltimore,MD) - The Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Railroad Museum presents "The Holiday Festival of Trains," a celebration of
every child's love of trains, from Friday November 29 through Monday, December 30, 2002. The Holiday Festival of Trains
will feature many types of trains ranging from live steam engines to operating toy train and model layouts.
Train Gardens, Friday, November 29 through December 30, 2002
A brand new 12-foot by 40-foot "O" faufe toy train layout and outdoor "G" scale railroad garden will operate throughout
the festival. A second "O" gauge layout will feature scale models of Baltimore's famous historic buildings such as
Camden Station and The Bromo-Seltzer Tower. In addition, there are operating "HO" layouts and a large exhibit,
"Miniature Marvels," featuring the world of model trains.
Santa Stops at B&O, Friday, Novemeber 29, 2002 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Holiday Festival of Trains opens with the arrival of Santa to the historic Roundhouse aboard his special locomotive
at 11 a.m. Children can meet Santa on board his train on Friday, November 29, 2002 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The National Capitol Trackers, "O" gauge layout, December 21 - 29, 2002
For the final days of the festival, Saturday, December 21st through Sunday, December 29th, the B&O will feature
The National Capitol Trackers showcasing their "O" gauge multi-loop layout on the turntable of the Roundhouse.
Train Rides
Train rides are included with the price of admission on the following days:
Friday, Nov 29 through Sunday, Dec 1, 2002 - Steam Train, The St. Elizabeth #4
Every Saturday in Dec (7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th) - Diesel Train
Thursday, Dec 26 through Sunday, Dec 29, 2002 - Diesel Train
The B&O Railroad Museum is located at 901 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21223.
Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors (60 and over), and $5 for children ages (2-12).
Children under 2 are admitted free. The B&O Railroad Museum is open everyday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be closed
Tuesday, December 24th, Wednesday, December 25th, Tuesday, December 31st and Wednesday, January 1st.
