Rail Ventures' restored luxury rail cars are added to scheduled Amtrak or VIA Rail passenger trains, allowing travel between major cities and resort destinations in both countries year-round. Within the four-car fleet are boardroom and conference tables, lounge seating for informal meetings, small areas for breakout sessions, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, and overnight accommodations. Whether scheduling a one-day luncheon excursion or a cross-country multiple-day conference, corporate planners will be assisted bye the Meetings in Motion custom itinerary planning and concierge services. A professional management team coordinates the rail travel with all additional components including ground transportation, optional resort accommodations and off-train activities, for a seamless presentation. They accommodate eight to 14 persons overnight and 16 to 30 persons for a daytime travel. Using all cars, total daytime capacity is 84 and nighttime is 30. Three of the cars offer the open-air observation platforms favored by American presidents on the campaign trail. The car interiors are richly finished in mahogany and teak with brass accents. Furnishings include plush seating areas, large-screen TV/VCRs and spacious dining parlors. The staff includes a personal chef, who develops customized menus of fresh regional cuisine for each client, and private stewards. The fleet includes these rail cars: -- Bella Vista. Capacity: 16 day, eight overnight. -- Glacier Park. Dome-lounge dining and observation car. Twelve-seat main-level dining parlor plus upper-level dome dining and seating area. Designed to travel with the Gallatin River sleeper when overnight accommodations are needed Capacity: 30 daytime. -- Gallatin River. Sleeper. Six double bedrooms with private vanity, sink, and closets share three adjoining bathrooms with tiled showers and toilets. The master suite features a queen-sized bed, in-room TV/VCR, private bathroom, vanity, and spacious shower. Capacity: 14 day and overnight. Prices vary according to city pairs, length of rail journey, number of cars chartered, positioning charges, and passenger count. Depending on the car selected, a multi-day charter costs approximately $5,000 to $7,000 a day per car for up to eight travelers. The price is all inclusive - crew, staff, food, spirits, fine wines, and daily fresh flowers. All charters are commissionable at 10 percent; override commissions are commensurate with volume sales.
