The hi-lite of the meeting will be a tour of the Amtrak Reservation Call Center in Riverside. Visit the state of the art facility, now employing nearly 1,000 clerks to handle Amtrak's growing call volume.
10:30 AM Depart Riverside Downtown Metrolink Station (4066 Vine Street between 14th Street and Mission Inn Blvd.) for tour of Reservation Center.
01:00 PM Lunch at Spaghetti Factory, at Vine and Mission Inn Blvd. (Three Blocks from Metrolink Station). Menu: Meat Lasagna, salad, bread, spumoni ice cream and coffee, tea, milk, or soft drinks. Bar service available during lunch for individual purchases.
Metrolink now provides Saturday Service from Los Angeles direct to Riverside via the San Bernardino line. Connections available with the Metrolink Lancaster / Santa Clarita line Saturday Service in both directions. Refer to Metrolink schedules at www.metrolinktrains.com. Sorry, no guaranteed Amtrak connections from Orange or Ventura County. Off Peak fares apply on Saturday trains. Purchase on day of use.
Those traveling by Metrolink will be able to view Fontana Speedway Station, the new Rialto Station Building, the new Metrolink storage tracks in San Bernardino, the large new BNSF intermodal facility and the new UP track connection in Colton.
Bus transfer to the Reservation Office will depart Riverside upon arrival of Metrolink train 380, scheduled at 10:40 a.m. However, its been arriving about 15 minutes early. Those driving in for this tour, should arrive at the Metrolink Station by 10:20 a.m for bus access and check in. Amtrak tour subject to limitation of participants. RESERVE EARLY!

Motel 6). Other motels on University Ave. would have to be reached by auto or local transit.
Out of Area Attendees. The San Joaquins Thruway service stops at the Metrolink Station. Remember this service becomes all reserved on February 28th. Metrolink has additional weekday service for Los Angeles and Orange County. A good circle trip is to ride between Los Angeles and Riverside, transferring at Orange. You can then see all new double and triple track construction on BNSF through Santa Ana Canyon.
