Passengers have various opinions about the passenger rail cars used along the California Coast. The interior of the Metrolink and Coaster trains are basically identical. There are variations in seating layout and color patterns, even among various Metrolink cars themselves, but these differences are minor. On the other hand, Amtrak operates many different types of passenger equipment on the Amtrak San Diegans route.
