Amtrak Sleeping Cars

Keep in mind that this is an older page from Amtrak. The Deluxe Bedroom is now just called a Bedroom. The Economy Bedroom was called a Standard Bedroom by Amtrak for a while, but it is now called a Roomette. The Viewliner Standard Bedroom is also now called a Roomette.

	The Deluxe Bedroom is the ultimate in Sleeping Car travel. These upper level private rooms offer a sofa and armchair, and convert to a wide lower berth and comfortable upper berth. They also include a private sink and vanity, and a fully enclosed private shower and toilet. Certain adjoining Deluxe Bedrooms can be combined into a Deluxe Suite. Complimentary Meals are included.

	The Viewliner Standard Bedroom is designed for one or two passengers, with comfortable reclining seats on either side of an eye-level picture window, and a second window above for extra light. At night, the seats convert to a bed, and an upper berth folds out from the wall. Each bedroom includes a sink and toilet, and a shower is located nearby. Complimentary Meals are included.

	The Family Bedroom occupies the entire width of the car on the lower level, on one end of the car with private windows on both sides of the room! It's furnished with a long sofa and two child seats during the day, converting to an upper and lower berth for adults and two short child-size berths. Restrooms are located just a few steps away. 	The Superliner Standard Bedroom is designed for one or two passengers, with two comfortable reclining seats on either side of a big picture window. 	The Accessible Bedroom is designed for passengers with special mobility requirements, with ample space for a wheelchair. Accessible Bedrooms occupy the entire lower width of the lower level, on one end of the car with two facing, reclining seats and an upper and lower berth. A sink, vanity and toilet are also accessible by wheelchair, separated from the room by a privacy curtain. Food and beverage service to the room are also available for passengers with disabilities. Complimentary Meals are included.
